Davies are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our HR team in Stoke.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager within the HR Department, you’ll support the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services to our 2000+ colleagues, across a fast growing multi-site business, whilst providing additional support to the Payroll and Benefits team.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Managing the processing of all the divisional data for monthly payroll submission.
- Accurately checking and reconciliation of all payroll processes, including new starters, leavers, bonuses, and salary amendments into our system
- Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
- Processing holiday, sick, maternity and paternity leave payments
- Distributing forms such as P45, P60 and P11d
- Administration of Pensions and Benefits ensuring we are maintaining and delivering an excellent customer experience for all our colleagues.
- Managing any requests for information or help from stakeholders including HMRC, HR, Finance and Auditors.
- Responding to questions regarding pay and benefits policies/procedures
- Keeping abreast of the payroll processing system and changes in wage or tax laws, and applies changes as appropriate
- Establisheing and maintaining a positive working relationship with customers, both internal and external.
**Skills & Experience**
- Processing payrolls over 1000+ employees
- Knowledge of the calculation of statuary payments, including SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, ShPP
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- In-depth understanding of human resources and labour rules and regulations
- Attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
- Working knowledge of payroll software
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Interpersonal skills
- CIPP Level qualified
- Bookkeeping or accounting
- Knowledge of Human Resources Operational function
