The role of the procurement manager will be accountable for the end-to-end supply chain function covering tactical & strategic activity by developing strong framework agreements with suppliers identifying, working with and developing key operational andstrategic suppliers to support the current & future business needs.
Location - Fareham
Salary - up to £60k plus benefits
**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities**
Develop supply chain strategies that support the overall business strategy
Identifying opportunities to eliminate risk, proactively carrying out activity to ensure parts supply continuity for the business
Direct and develop the total supply chain and play an active role in the SIOP process to ensure efficient materials management throughout the business
Identifying & implementing cost reduction opportunities that support the direct and indirect cost reduction targets
Monitor changes in the global marketplace, being proactive to avoid any negative impact on cost, delivery or quality performance
Develop & implement strong framework agreements with suppliers as the business requires
Be aware of, participate in, and help develop group Supply Chain initiatives, this may include support to localizing supply chain where possible within the portfolio of products we manufacture. This will involve a close working relationship with the groupsourcing team.
Support the local supply chain team to establish, maintain and monitor KPI's to optimize the overall supply chain performance
Working closely with the Supplier Quality Assurance Engineers, ensuring supplier audits are conducted and any resultant activity is tracked and closed off
Oversee commodity management and resolve issues / escalate as required
Organise and direct purchase cost reduction activities to ensure maximum return to the business for minimum expenditure. Is equipped to negotiate supplier agreements in accordance with company expectations
Accountable for reporting & managing supplier performance and impact on bottom line to the business. This includes ensuring that suppliers are audited in accordance with the agreed plans and any corrective actions closed in a timely manner

Driven in procurement best practices and experienced in executing strategic procurement strategies

Management of team - well-developed leadership skills, equipped to develop team members & deal with situations
that may arise
A successful track record of negotiating with a variety of suppliers, using different approaches & methodologies
Experience of operating within a matrix organization /ability to manage multiple stakeholders
Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite
Proficient in using an ERP System, ideally experienced in the use of SAP or similar system
