**Senior IT Project Manager**

My client, a large and nationally recognised financial services business is looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join their IT Change team as a result of continued growth and investment.

The Senior IT Project Manager will drive and deliver complex IT change in line with time, cost and quality criteria, working collaboratively with stakeholders to take technical projects from initiation through to closure. Creating and owning project plans;acting as the main point of contact for third parties in relation to delivery and proactively managing risks, issues and dependencies in line with internal and external standards, to ensure successfully delivery of projects.

This is a full time, permanent role paying a salary of £60,000 - £65,000 dependant on experience plus a market leading benefits package including; generous annual bonus (circa 20%), private healthcare, double matched pension and 28 days holiday to name afew.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead complex IT change projects from initiation through to closure.
- Forecast and monitor expenditure and seek authorisation for all project costs (including hardware, software and services) reforecasting finances as appropriate.
- Identify, secure and manage internal and external delivery resources, ensuring they are clear about their responsibilities, deliverables and acceptance criteria, and that their activities are in line with the agreed plan and any associated contractual arrangements.
- Manage and control a Project Management System for each project - comprising of finances, project plans, RAIDs and change control, resource plans, supplier agreements and management information in line with pre-agreed reporting cycles.
- Manage and control proof of concept activities to reduce risk, assess Business Cases and clarify requirements for communication to suppliers.

**Key Skills and Experience required**:

- Experience in a similar IT Project Manager with a strong track record of successfully leading full lifecycle complex technology projects, as well as concurrent delivery of multiple projects.
- Excellent skills in relationship building and influencing key and senior stakeholders both internally and third
- party delivery teams.
- Significant depth and breadth of experience in agreeing project scope, plans, deliverables, dependencies, and commercial terms with third parties.
- A recognised Project Management qualification i.e. APM, Prince 2 or Agile would be highly desirable.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Project for planning, tracking and reporting project progress.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial forecasting and budgeting.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills with experience of summarising large volumes of data into relevant points to drive decision making.
- Financial services experience would be a bonus but is not essential.
