**IT Project Manager**

My client, a large and nationally recognised financial services business is looking for a passionate IT Project Manager to join their IT Change team as a result of continued growth and investment.

The IT Project Manager will drive and deliver IT change in line with time, cost and quality criteria, working collaboratively with stakeholders to take technical projects from initiation through to closure. In conjunction with the IT Programme Manager, creatingand owning project plans; acting as the main point of contact for third parties in relation to delivery and proactively managing risks, issues and dependencies in line with internal and external standards, to ensure successfully delivery of projects.

This is a full time, permanent role paying a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience plus a market leading benefits package including; generous annual bonus, double matched pension and 28 days holiday to name a few.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead IT change projects from initiation through to closure.
- Forecast and monitor expenditure and seek authorisation for all project costs (including hardware, software and services) reforecasting finances as appropriate.
- Identify, secure and manage internal and external delivery resources, ensuring they are clear about their responsibilities, deliverables and acceptance criteria, and that their activities are in line with the agreed plan and any associated contractual arrangements.
- Manage and control a Project Management System for each project - comprising of finances, project plans, RAIDs and change control, resource plans, supplier agreements and management information in line with pre-agreed reporting cycles.
- Manage and control proof of concept activities to reduce risk, assess Business Cases and clarify requirements for communication to suppliers.

**Key Skills and Experience required**:

- Experience in a similar IT Project Manager role.
- Strong track record of successfully leading IT projects.
- Ability to multitask and execute a number of activities simultaneously.
- Excellent skills in relationship building and influencing key and senior stakeholders both internally and third-party delivery teams.
- Experience of agreeing project scope, plans, deliverables, dependencies, and commercial terms with third parties.
- Experience of using Microsoft Project for planning, tracking and reporting project progress.
- Microsoft Excel experience for financial forecasting and budgeting.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills with experience of summarising data into relevant points to drive decision making.
- A recognised Project Management qualification i.e. APM, Prince 2 or Agile would be highly desirable.
