Maintenance Assistant

Our fast growing client is looking for Maintenance Assistants on a full time basis to assist in the preparation of a range of cabins prior to them going out on hire.

Reporting to the Site Manager / Site Supervisor.

Working within a small team in the depot.
- Cleaning of units and fittings internally and externally in a timely manner
- Basic painting of cabin exteriors with roller and/or brush.
- The removal of internal fittings prior to works.
- Assembly and cleaning of Value Added Products (eg furniture).
- To work closely with and assist trades people.
- Ensure the yard and workshop is kept clean and tidy on a daily basis
- Complete all necessary paperwork as requested, to include repair and job sheets
- Working at height.
- Manual handling.
- To work in a safe and sensible manner within the boundaries of the Company Health and Safety Policy and any additional site restrictions.
- Report any faults in the workshop environment to the supervisor
- Basic (repair/replace) joinery, flooring and plumbing tasks.
- To undertake general maintenance works to cabins both internally and externally.

Reporting to the Site Manager / Site Supervisor.

Working within a small team in the depot.
- Basic understanding and acceptance of Health & Safety rules.
- Good mix of general maintenance skills.
- Competent in the use of basic hand/power tools.
- CSCS Card holder an advantage (Level 2)/preferred (Level 3).

Personal Characteristics
- Good general physical fitness.
- Ability to work as an individual as well as part of a team
- Has a strong work ethic.
- Flexible attitude to working.
- Proactive.
- Capable of working to and achieving set targets/deadlines.
