**C++ Engineer**
My client is a consultancy who focus their work in TV Set Top Boxes, Broadband Routers and various other Digital TV products with a large amount of high profile client names, there's a very varied and extensive project list of which you will be involved with.
The work will involve the ongoing maintenance of a range of software components of Digital TV products, system-wide investigation of issues and technical documentation of the results. You'll also develop and maintain the tools that support this investigation.Your work will help deliver quick and easy access to some of the World's best digital TV services for millions of customers.
You must be UK based, however you may work fully remotely.
**Essential skills**:

- Strong experience with C, C++ or Java in an embedded Linux or Android environment
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experienced developing and debugging multithreaded and/or multi-process code

**Desirable Tech Skills**:
Experience with any of the following is useful, although not required
Object Orientated programming in C++ or Java | UML diagramming | C++11 | STL or frameworks such as Qt | Embedded or mobile Java | JNI | Linux kernel | drivers | GCC | GDB | TDD and Unit Testing frameworks such as Google Test | Mockito | JUnit and similar |Software development for consumer electronics or TV | Audio, Video & TV standards | Networking protocols and standards including TCP/IP | Wi-Fi | UPnP | DLNA | HLS or MPEG-DASH | Agile, Scrum methodologies
