The Role

Taking a pivotal role in the Funding Team, this position is central to our client's vision of creating a market leading funding proposition with which to disrupt a well-established market. They are at an extremely exciting time in their journey with massivegrowth ahead of them through new and varied distribution channels.

This role will ensure they have the funding lines, thinking and resilience to enable first class customer delivery to support these hugely ambitious plans. At the heart of the role, is shaping their funding opportunities that power the business for theircustomers, setting the vision and ensuring all stakeholders understand where they are going.

The postholder will be a superb communicator and build credibility from the get-go with their funding partners to manage all aspects of the placement of proposals to external funders. Be competent in evaluating / analysing proposals, co-ordinating required/ relevant information between internal functions and the funder. This role is a key influencing opportunity in a private equity owned organisation to drive value from the strong relationships with their funders through regular reviews, product updates andmarket research.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ownership and placement of deals where the Credit Team have suggested external funding.
- Daily review of the proposal pipeline to suggest deals for external funding, liaising closely with Senior Management to agree appropriate strategy.
- Evaluate and structure deals for external placement against the funder panel Credit and Product framework requirements.
- Package deals into a professional format and propose into the relevant Funder's proposal management system, actioning queries and managing decision communication through the origination system and liaising with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Ownership of key partnership credit datatape processes with external funders and internal stakeholders.
- Develop knowledge of the client's funder panel credit and product framework through regular reviews, proactive engagement, and market research.
- Work closely with the credit team to analyse funder decisions against the client's credit policy to help shape credit appetite and policy.
- Execute pipeline management strategy, proactively engaging with Funders and relevant internal teams to ensure proposal acceptances are converted to funded transactions.
- Develop and manage funder reporting as required by the Senior Management Team.
- Ensure processes followed adhere to the regulatory procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Funders & Internal teams through regular engagement and formal reviews.
- Ad-hoc process, reporting and project work as directed by the Senior Management Team

Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years underwriting or internal sales experience within an asset finance company
- Strong asset finance background and knowledge of asset finance funding products including undisclosed receivables and block discounting
- Demonstrates and advocates 'Customer First' mindset
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively both in written form and verbal form internally and externally at all levels
- Excellent execution capability with an eagerness and ability to be hands-on at all times
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Intermediate MS excel skills
- Resilient and energetic with an ability to work to tight deadlines whilst remaining calm under pressure
- Ability to work under own initiative, multitasking and reprioritising throughout the day, effectively managing conflicting priorities
- Able to demonstrate co-operation and flexibility through teamwork
