**BACKGROUND**

Moor Park School is recruiting a Human Resources (HR) Officer to join the Bursary Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a wonderful school community.

Moor Park School and Tick Tock Nursery provides care and education to children aged 3 months to 13 years of age. Moor Park is renowned for its happiness, atmosphere and pastoral care. The school is located amongst a beautiful 18th Century Manor House and is within easy reach of Ludlow and major routes in the area.

**PURPOSE**

Reporting to the Bursar (similar to a Chief Operating Officer), the HR Officer will provide day-to-day HR support to the school.

**DUTIES**

**Recruitment**
- Coordinate and process all staff recruitment ensuring that all safeguarding regulations are met
- Coordinate and post job vacancies, working with the Digital Marketing Coordinator
- Conduct all pre-employment checks including checking of references
- Arrange and support interviews
- Day-to-day management of the Staff Central Register with the assistance of the Bursar
- Process DBS Applications

**Training**
- Day-to-day management, recording and monitoring of staff training records
- Support in the delivery of staff inductions and other staff training
- Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead in the delivery of safeguarding training
- Day-to-day management of the staff training information management system

**General HR Duties**
- Working with other staff, maintain records of visiting speakers, contractors and other visitors
- In line with GDPR, day-to-day management of staff files, including archiving where necessary
- Drafting and distributing HR related letters to staff
- Record and monitor staff absences
- Inform the Finance Officer of any salary adjustments on a monthly basis
- Circulate and record the of distribution of regulatory information to staff
- Ensure completion of statutory/regulatory paperwork by staff
- Maintain the Child Protection Register
- Record and monitor Regulatory Risk Assessments for Staff
- Track and monitor staff probations
- Track and monitor staff appraisals
- Other HR administrative tasks in support of the Bursar

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a confidential and professional manner

**Desirable Skills & Qualities**
- Knowledge of Safeguarding
- Experience of working in HR
- Experience of working for a school or small business
- CIPD level 3 qualification or equivalent

**TERMS**

21 Hours a week

£12, 881.61 per annum (£24,536.40 FTE equivalent)

Generous holiday allowance
