**About the Role**:
The Leveraged Finance Reporter at LCD is responsible for covering, in real-time and in-depth, the European leveraged finance space, with special emphasis on syndicated loans, private credit and high yield bonds. The Reporter will use their knowledge of the debt markets and ability to develop and maintain market sources to generate compelling content for our audience.

Leveraged Commentary & Data (LCD) provides real-time news and research on the leveraged finance markets to 80,000-plus subscribers worldwide. The News Team is responsible for covering leveraged loan, high yield and high grade deals in market and for providing analytical stories that contextualize the market trends and data. Coverage includes primary and secondary markets, distressed credits and various market indices.

**Primary Job Responsibilities**:

- Cultivate and maintain sources active in the European leveraged finance space (investors, syndications professionals, traders, lawyers) to provide comprehensive coverage of leveraged loan and/or high yield bond activity, and related developments, with an emphasis on comprehensiveness, accuracy, and context
- Write a high volume of real-time, data-intensive news stories daily detailing activity in these markets
- Write regular commentary detailing market trends, developments and/or forward-looking scenarios regarding the European leveraged loan and high yield bond asset class, relying on proprietary LCD data and interviews with sources within the market
- Contribute to LCD coverage and analysis of other European leveraged finance sub-segments, as appropriate
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelors’ degree, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years experience reporting on/analyzing capital markets, or specific capital markets segments, preferably concerning structured finance, fixed income debt, leveraged loans, or related
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced/real-time news environment
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to produce value-added, differentiated content
- Ability to work effectively as part of highly productive team
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite along with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily
