Charity People is delighted to be working with Dementia Adventure in their search for a Communications Officer.

**Location**

The charity offers a very flexible approach to working and this role can be undertaken on a hybrid working from home and office basis. The charity is keen for at least one day per week in the office but this is flexible. The office is based in idyllic Essexcountryside

**Working Hours**:Up to 4 days per week

**Salary**:£28,000 per annum FTE

**Reporting To**:Communications Manager

**About Dementia Adventure**

Established 13 years ago Dementia Adventure is a UK nature-based health charity that is changing the way people think about dementia. The organisation has a vision where people live well with dementia, have contact and connection with nature and enjoy asense of adventure.

A fabulous organisation that offers a range of unique services; Dementia Adventure provides supported dementia holidays as well as free training for people supporting somebody with dementia and have experienced trainers delivering a range of dementia trainingto others.

**About the role**

This is a newly created role where you will provide communications and marketing support for the organisation across a broad range of activities with particular focus on the creation of written and visual content for digital channels and social media, includingblogs, case studies, on page content, and graphics.

You will work with the Communications Manager to implement both the Communications Strategy and Content Strategy. You will be supporting brand awareness and fundraising campaigns and developing marketing materials for internal and external use.

**About you**

The role will suit someone who enjoys working as part of a small and collaborative team who has a creative and pro-active approach. You'll ideally bring the following key skills and experience:

- Experience of working in a similar role, preferably within the charity sector
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to write compelling content that inspires
- Excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritise a high workload and meet deadlines
- Good understanding of writing for SEO
- Ability to confidently network internally, proactively reaching out to team members to extract stories and information
- Confident to take a lead for and deliver creative projects
- Experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva
- Experience working with social media management and analysis tools such as Hootsuite
