Site Manager required for a large school in Bridgwater, TA6
- £28,590 to £32,535 per annum, depending on experience

About the job
- Ensure that the premises is optimised for operation at all times
- Line management of site team - maintenance, caretaking and cleaning staff
- Ensure the continuing availability of utilities, site services and equipment, by monitoring and logging defects and taking appropriate action
- Support the tendering, negotiation and costing procedures for the provision of goods, services and specific projects
- Undertake annual audit and inventory of the fabric, equipment, facilities and energy conservation measures
- Ensure regular maintenance tasks are logged and actioned
- Act as designated key holder, providing out of hours cover and emergency site access where necessary
- Ensure that up-to-date plans of utilities and services in the school are available at all times
- Ensure the fleet of school minibuses are maintained and are roadworthy
- Monitor the working hours of the site staff and authorise timesheets for payment of overtime
- Maintain a variety of records using online premises management software
- Ensure risk assessments are in place for the premises function and support for general risk assessment
- Experience of working within a security, facilities, porterage or caretaking role
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Ability to effectively lead and manage site staff
- Good understanding of Health & Safety systems and processes
- Willingness to participate in staff training/development programme for further training and professional development
- Competent use of IT packages including Microsoft Office
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Manual handling skills
