**The role**:
The purpose of the Business Development Manager/ BDM is primarily to be responsible for contributing to the overall success of the team. Working on booth individual and team-based targets, they are looking for someone who is focused and driven but equally,actively looking to work in a collaborative, team environment. The role will be focused across both existing account growth and also new business all focused on the quality and relationship approach they are known for.

**The BDM will**:

- Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the product and the services.
- Work across internal teams to drive and increase the overall profit, revenue of the business.
- Increase the frequency and value of orders, driving upsell and cross-sell with partners.
- Build and develop scalable cloud business plans with partners.
- Guide partners through offer development.
- Drive and increase the frequency of orders and services from managed accounts.
- Manage vendor and supplier commercial programmes and campaigns.
- Assist with strategic vendor management for cloud solution products and services.
- Consistently provide and deliver a high level of customer satisfaction with a consultative approach.

**Essential experience required**:

- Minimum of 12 months experience in B2B and/or Channel sales/Account Management roles.
- Strong knowledge of cloud services, including Microsoft’s Cloud offerings.
- Evidence of being able to nurture strong business and employee relationships, to meet and exceed customer satisfaction.
- Excellent verbal, written and numerical skills with the ability to communicate at all levels including strong presentation skills.
- A high level of computer literacy combined with strong Microsoft Office suite skills with proven experience of accurately recording data in computerised systems.
- Proven ability to quickly grasp the features and benefits for partners and their customers of new technology services and turn into commercial propositions.
- Excellent organisational skills working well both in a team environment and individually.
- Proven ability to meet goals and deadlines.
- UK Driving License.

**Desirable experience**:

- Experience in successfully selling Microsoft cloud-based solutions.
- Good understanding of IT vendor licencing programmes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft and our other vendors cloud technologies (Office 365, Microsoft 365, Azure, Dynamics).
