**Apprentice Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship**
Murphy Plant Limited are looking for a Warehouse Operative Apprentice to join our state-of-the-art Plant depot in Ollerton. As an apprentice you will learn how to carry out a role under the mentorship of someone skilled in that field or specialism. This is achieved through a clearly defined apprenticeship program, which is a combination of on the job training and attendance of a training facility or college.
As a Warehouse Operative Apprentice, you will be trained in the following:
- Maintaining levels of stock, ordering stock and handling deliveries
- Checking for damaged/missing items, storing goods, moving stock by various methods, picking/packing orders and maintain records and documentation via our in-house finance system.
- The role is involved in a wide range of requirements from Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through to parts for vehicles and construction plant.
- Understand and demonstrate the importance of Health and Safety in the workplace
- Comply with organisational safety, policies and procedures
- Use of systems and processes relating to packaging, moving and receiving stock within a stores environment to facilitate the safe handling of goods and an effective and efficient service to internal customers.
- Effective communication with customers and colleagues.
- Work individually and as part of a team to safely move and handle stock; maintain a high level of housekeeping and manage waste effectively.
- Use correct equipment and procedures to record receiving or storing goods; produce relevant paperwork or labelling processes.
**The qualification you will get**:
As part of this apprenticeship you will work towards an industry recognised qualification in Supply Chain Warehouse Operations.
**Entry Requirements**:
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade 3 or above (or equivalent of Grade D-A) or Functional Skills Level 1
- You don’t need to have previous experience for the role but you do need to be ready to learn, have a positive mindset and a can-do attitude
