**Job description**:
Working directly to the Deputy Director, Head of Digital, HSE are looking for a Digital Capability Lead with experience in transformation to work within its fast expanding Digital team

As the Digital Capability Lead you will be responsible for establishing the Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) community within HSE and subsequently maintaining development of the community roles. In addition you will be responsible for coaching the multi-skilled Agile teams which are delivering Digital and Technology services to Government Digital Service Standards. You will be a proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative and flexible working environment, identifying opportunities for learning, coaching and developing DDaT members and improving business outcomes, looking to continuously improve the quality, capability and efficiency of our delivery

You will use your knowledge of DDaT and Agile methodology delivery to frame and solve problems and set priorities for delivery teams, identify opportunities for improving business outcomes and look to continuously improve the quality, capability and efficiency of people, products and services.

**Key Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Deputy Director, Head of Digital you will lead on:
**Establishing the Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) community**
- Lead on the establishment of an overarching community for digital, data and technology (DDaT) utilising job families to create a profession in HSE. This will be the Government Digital Service (GDS) DDaT Professionthrough an HSE lens.
- Grow the HSE DDaT community to build appropriate learning and development opportunities for HSE DDaT professionals of all levels and backgrounds.
- Analyse existing HSE digital roles to determine an assessment of current gaps within the community
- Champion capability improvement across the entire community to attract and retain talent and in crease effectiveness of delivery
- Develop assets which will support HSE in making decisions on key skills and resources.
- Lead on DDaT community communication, engagement and collaboration including provision of community events, intranet content and collateral to bring the community and job families together

**Provision of Agile Coaching**
- Lead on the provision of Agile Coaching for DDaT roles and wider HSE where applicable
- Engage and communicate with a range of stakeholders and audiences building credibility quickly
- Provide effective communication within teams, across teams and in a larger community of practice to facilitate difficult discussions and Agile ceremonies
- Ensure that Agile principles are adhered to whilst being pragmatic about practices
- Providing enthusiasm and engagement to be the point of contact of Agile for individuals and teams enabling teams to self organise

Within the above areas you will be comfortable with being both internal and external facing and with operating within multiple project/programme teams to:

- Support growth in creating the right environment for success through the development of increased capability
- Be practiced in problem solving and being comfortable in complex environments
