Graduate Site Chemist.
Experienced Site Chemist.
Working as a key member of the Technically Competent Management Team, to review and accept or process all incoming commodities to site within Health & Safety guidelines, Environmental Compliance and Cost Control.
- Accept and inspect incoming consignments of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in line with legislation and sector guidance.
- Record arrival of waste, raise non-conformances and label of waste with required information for acceptance.
- Ensure incoming consignments have appropriate paperwork and is safe for acceptance to site.
- Inspect waste to BAT requirements and routed such as to minimise cost.
- Work within dedicated SLA's according to sector guidance notes.
The Site Chemist will be HNC or degree qualified in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Toxicology, or other similar field.
- Experience of working within the waste sector is ideal.
- Computer literate with excellent written communication.
- A willingness to work in outdoor conditions in a hazardous chemical environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental principles.
