We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator/Admissions Officer to join our Staffing Bank. This role will support our Inpatient Admissions Team at our Spire Hull & East Riding Hospital.

Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital is based in Anlaby, near the Humber Bridge. The hospital provides care for patients across East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire. Our hospital offers a range of services and procedures including orthopaedic, general surgery, weight loss surgery, eye surgery and cosmetic surgery. Other services include, radiology - MRI and CT and physiotherapy. We believe it's our people that really set us apart, we work with the very best medical professionals and our colleagues are an attentive and highly experienced team

**Duties and responsibilities;**:

- Provide advisory information and pre-verification/pre-authorisation service to patients whether or not covered by medical insurance.
- Liaise with patients and all other hospital departments to ensure full and accurate communication regarding the patient's pay for their admission to Spire Hull & East Riding hospital.
- Play a leading role in providing an advisory and information service to patient for investigations and treatment not covered by medical insurance.
- Maintaining adequate levels of stationery and prepared patient notes where applicable.
- Participate in in-house orientation and training programmes and the hospital Enabling Excellence scheme.
- Comply with obligation in respect of Health & Safety at Work Act, fire drills, fire procedures etc.
- Ensure departmental procedures are kept up to date.
- To help promote and maintain the documented Quality System as a means of ensuring that the hospital's services confirm to specified requirements.

**Who we're looking for**:

- Good interpersonal skills, organisational, telephone and verbal skills essential.
- Must be able to show initiative, commitment and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team with little supervision.
- PC skills essential.
- Completed basic secondary education

**Essential**:

- Previous Admin experience
- Experience working in a team
- Organisational and communication skills

**Desirable**:

- Previous work in medical field
- Knowledge of medical terminology
