**Solar Designer**

**Background**

Raw Energy was founded in 2012 and has been growing ever since. Our offices are based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire however we work across the UK. Raw Energy has an impressive track record of delivering and managing large-scale projects in solar, biomass, wind, anaerobic digestion and waste to energy.

Due to the demand, we are looking to expand our solar PV business focusing on both domestic and commercial installation as well as asset management.

**Duties of the Role**

The Solar Designer will work closely with the sales team to bridge the gap between sales and delivery. Key responsibilities of the role:

- Designing domestic and commercial scale PV systems, optimising annual electricity consumption
- Calculating the optimal system performance for customers
- Working out the string layouts on each system, pairing them to the correct inverters and batteries
- Preparing full costings of the projects
- Advising the sales team on the best system options for the customer
- Working closely with the domestic and commercial surveyors
- Occasional site visits for the larger, more complex projects

**Experience and Personal Attributes**
- Having technical knowledge and experience in commercial solar system design and construction
- Having excellent IT Skills
- Having good communication skills
- Being able to produce high standards of work
- Having robust time management skills
- Having strong attention to detail
- Being passionate about working in the renewable energy sector
- Preferred but not essential - holding Bachelor's degree in renewable energy engineering, electrical engineering or relevant engineering discipline

**Logistics**

This a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday based at Raw Energy’s head office in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. Training will be provided as required.

Raw Energy offer a competitive salary and 25 days holiday plus a day off for your birthday in addition to public holidays.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
