**Key duties and responsibilities**:
- Sales ledger:
- providing support for weekly depot and customer invoices
- investigate and resolve invoices queries
- review reports and provide analysis
- Purchase ledger:
- ensuring purchase invoices are processed daily in the system and coded correctly, with authorisation
- processing payment runs to ensure suppliers are paid on time
- obtain new supplier information and assist in reviewing supplier statements
- Undertake general office duties, where required (inc. post/enveloping/filing)
**The ideal Ledger Assistant would**:
- have previous ledger experience
- be an excellent communicator, time-keeper and be extremely organised
- have proven Excel and systems experience
- be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
