Office / General Assistant

**Job Purpose**
This role is varied supporting the sales team and providing an important link between the salesperson, suppliers and the client. Reporting to the Office Manager, you will assist with processing all sales and purchase related paperwork, handling customer information and managing the communication between the sales team and their customers. The role will also involve store duties of the receiving of goods and repackaging for distribution. You will also be required to serve our trade counter customers. You will also be required to do deliveries to cover holiday and you will be required to go as far as Falmouth.
The position will suit someone who thrives on variety, job ownership and accountability, able to work without supervision. You will need to be is resourceful and self-driven, able to motivate themselves, taking pride in a job well done and able to relate to others with empathy and patience.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Accountability for the sales order processing through to delivery, invoicing, complaint resolution and payment
- Dealing with invoices, claims queries.
- Liaising with customers and suppliers
- Goods receiving and redistribution for van deliveries & courier services.
- General Business Admin
- Dealing with the trade counter customers.
**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding numeric data
- Good all-round administrative abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel
- An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- An ability to work independently and as a team
- Excellent customer service skills
- A flexible and ‘can do’ attitude with a pleasant manner especially during busy times
- Excellent telephone manner
- Resourceful, self-driven and motivated
- Empathy and patience
- Enjoys a varied role.

**Salary**: £18,000.00-£21,000.00 per year
