We are seeking dedicated and energetic Support Staff who feel passionate about supporting people with Autism or a Learning Disability, and helping them to live full and happy lives.
You will be working for a highly reputable charitable organisation which specialises in Autism, Learning Disabilities and Mental Health throughout the UK, they are excited to be recruiting for Support Workers to join teams in the Fareham and Southamptonareas.
**Position**:Support Worker
**Location**: Fareham, Locks Heath, Sarisbury Green, Stubbington & Wickham
**Hours**: Various contracted available, waking nights and casual hours available, full and part time
**Closing date**: ongoing
**About the Role**:
Success in this role means that individuals get the highest quality support and live their best lives.
As a Support Worker, you will support people with Autism or learning disabilities in their home or out in the community living the lives they choose.
You will have a passion for working with people where no day is the same, and the desire to support individuals to achieve their personal goals and aspirations.
Some of the people you support may have complex needs and communicate through their behaviours which will require you to be empathic, willing to learn, creative, and patient. We will give you full training to ensure you are confident to deliver excellentsupport
**About You**:
You don’t need to have previous experience working in care or support to be successful in this role. What matters are your values, your passion and determination to make a difference in the lives of people with Autism or learning disabilities.
Whether you want to work a few hours a week, or full-time, if you think a Support Worker role sounds right for you, you will need to be:
- Flexible to work on a rolling rota
- Good at working on your own and within a team
- Excellent at communicating with people
- Able to complete good quality support records

Whilst experience is not essential as full training will be provided, we very much welcome previous experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, Care Worker, Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Nurses, Social Care Worker, Care Assistant,Mental Health Care Worker, Voluntary Worker.
