A leading multi-channel retailer in the Cheshire area is looking to recruit a Senior Buyer to manage the Buying and Category Strategy for their Consumer Electronic category. They are a fast-growing and award-winning business with heavy investment from theowners and thus it will be a key appointment in their quest to continue their phenomenal success. The job holder will be office based 3-4 days per week, with the rest being home based.

**About the role**

Reporting to the Head of Buying, this will be a high-profile role where you will be required to enhance the product range by sourcing new suppliers as well as nurturing the relationships with the current supply base. With good experience in sourcing frombig brands in the UK as well sourcing products internationally (particularly the from the far east), you will be responsible for range building, NPD and getting exciting and innovative products to the UK market ahead of the competition. You will work collaborativelywith internal and external stakeholders to produce promotional plans and joint business plans, with ultimate accountability for margin and profitability of your category.

**About the Person**

This would suit someone with a retail or wholesale Buying background who has strong sourcing experience as well as excellent supply base management and negotiation skills. You will have a proven track record of success in driving cost efficiencies and addingvalue through the identification of commercial opportunities. Ideally, you will have experience in buying consumer electronics, which includes understanding the compliance and legislation requirements for the UK market. However, we will consider other productexperience in general merchandise categories such as toys, furniture, storage, household etc. You will also have a collaborative working style, and be a confident communicator with ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
