Internal Auditor

We are on the lookout for an experienced Internal Auditor, to be successful in the role you must have experience with business systems and presenting documentation for tenders.

As Internal Auditor the main purpose of this role is to make sure that we remain compliant from a legislative regulatory perspective and to enhance the collaboration of the senior management team, in our efforts to achieve ISO accreditation in the areas of health and safety, quality, business continuity and environmental protection.

Job Responsibilities:

- Maintaining and building health, safety, quality, business continuity and environmental management systems to help prevent business interruption incidents or legislative breaches from arising.
- Supporting HSQE team to fulfil their requirements and providing information and documentation as necessary to facilitate this.
- The identification and management of organisational risks and opportunities for continuous improvement in relation to Management Systems.
- Responsible for internal communication in relation to management system requirements, including any required training to obtain team buy in and support.
- Coordinating and supporting management team / leadership requirements for each standard and the issue of appropriate ongoing training to all employees to promote awareness of applicable responsibilities for management system compliance.
- Leading on rigorous exercising and testing of company plans or manuals; specifically testing of the ongoing adequacy of the company Business Continuity and emergency plans.
- Leading on annual management review sessions which includes the creation and collation of all required data and information to be supplied and presented to the Senior Leadership Team, company Directors and members of the Client, ensuring the continued adequacy of current management systems and ongoing suitability for use.
- Working to a stringent audit schedule, overseeing, undertaking and providing detailed audit reports for procedural audits, legal and contractual compliance audits, audits to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 22301 across all operational depots.
- Ensuring ongoing legislative compliance with regards to Quality, Environmental, Health, Safety and Business Continuity via Legal Compliance Reviews and the maintenance of the company Legal Register.
- Coordinating and leading on all supply chain audits to ensure continued standard compliance.
- Liaison with appropriate departmental managers to ensure the implementation, management, close-out and subsequent evaluation of corrective and preventative action and minor and major non-conformances.
- The development of SMART action plans to address system non-conformances or continual improvement requirements.
