_Macildowie Recruitment and Retention_ have partnered with a sector leading manufacturer to help with recruit a Category Buyer. Following years of sustained growth, our client are now looking to add to their growing team in Burton.

**The Role**
- Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement.
- Remit: 50% Strategic - 50% Tactical.
- Responsible for buying high value raw materials, components and goods in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.
- Autonomy to manage the category.
- Working closely alongside the production and product development team to ensure that products are designed and manufactured correctly.
- Assisting with end-to-end bid/tender management processes.
- Taking a lead on developing lasting relationships with suppliers.
- Undertaking administrative tasks such as raising purchase orders and chasing invoices.
- Continuously looking for new ways to source raw materials.
- Compile data which pertains to supplier performance.
- Monitor market trends and competitor strategies.
- Has 3/4+ years experience within Procurement.
- Ideally worked in Manufacturing.
- CIPS level 4, preferable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willing, can-do attitude.

**Details**
- Salary: 38k - 40k per annum + car.
- Office hours, WFH flex (3 days office - 2 days home).
