**Job description**
A Purchasing Coordinator Is require to join a UK team based in West Drayton, London. As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will have opportunity to gain transferable skills such as

The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for the
- data management
- administration and reporting that underpins the delivery of strong purchasing outcomes for the purchase of services and finished goods

The UK team is small so whilst you’ll need to be resourceful and be able to work independently, it will also be essential for you to communicate and work closely with colleagues across the organisation.Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Purchasing Assistantwill work closely with other members of the team, including the Head of Logistics, Demand Planner and Warehouse Manager.

As a Purchasing Assistant you'll be required to **own**:

- Commercial preparation of costs and purchases undertaken on behalf of the company
- Management of daily purchasing activities such as raising purchase orders for Coffee, Ingredients, Equipment & Parts as well as procurement for in support of other business activities
- Sense checking of distribution costs and invoices for accuracy
- Determination and management of inventory needs, via co-ordination with inventory control staff (Warehouse / Demand Planners)
- Input and maintenance of inventory value within the Company’s ERP system, IFS.(e.g. supplier costs and sales costs)
- Support of supplier relations (contract negotiations, prices and timelines)
- Supply chain evaluations from commercial, compliance and business risk perspectives, in accordance with Group policy and legal requirements (e.g. Money Laundering & Modern Slavery)
- Understanding of, on behalf of the business, the cost and logístical implications of import duties and taxes contributing to the overall cost of products
- Management of delivery terms across suppliers and customers to ensure effective management and allocation of costs

In this role you will **support/assist** with:

- Provision of recommendations for improvements to purchasing systems and processes
- Understanding, with support from the Demand Planner, required stock volumes (factoring in lead times and import knowledge)
- Commercial negotiations in matters relating to reviews of purchase order claims and discussions e.g. defects and delivery problems with suppliers and negotiates refunds

**The Purchasing AssistantMust haves**:

- Minimum of 1 year experience in a procurement related role
- GSCE level English and Maths
- IT literate and evidence of the ability to work accurately with Company systems
- Numerate and ability to analyse and interpret data for patterns and trends
- Evidence of ability to follow and adhere to procedure and guidelines, work accurately and have an eye for detail

**Nice to haves**:

- 2+ years’ experience of working within a procurement related role
- Knowledge and experience gained within the service and hospitality sector
- Level 3 (Advanced Certificate) accreditation via the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS)
