An opportunity has arisen to recruit a dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative band 6 Counselling for Depression trained/IPT Counsellor to work within the Emotional Wellbeing Service. You will hold a qualification in counselling, CfD or IPT and be fully accredited with a counselling regulatory organisation.

This post requires a blend of remote and face to face treatment delivery.

The post holder will be expected to offer high quality assessments and treatments within an improving access to psychological therapies model. They may be an expectation that the post holder will offer clinical supervision to other counsellors and trainees.

There will be an expectation of the post holder to have experience of working with people with mental health needs ideally in a primary care setting.

The Service supports people aged 16 and upwards in the community providing a range of recovery focused IAPT interventions for people with mild, moderate and moderately severe common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. The service provides a stepped care treatment approach. The post holder will:

- To manage a specialised caseload of mild to moderately severe psychological disorders
- Making decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department’s referral protocol
- Attend regular clinical and managerial supervision
- Attend dedicated CPD days
- To work within Service/Trust protocols/ policies
- To work with a diverse population
- To fulfil supervisor responsibilities
- You will be BACP Accredited, UKCP
