Bennett and Game are proud to be working with a global leader in Supply-chain, Global Freight & Logistics. Our client have multiple sites across the UK and are looking for a senior manager to join their Hampshire location.

Due to succession planning our client now require an experienced and forward thinking Freight General Manager to expand, develop and oversee the overall management of a multi-modal and multi-sector global operation.

**Freight General / Branch Manager Position Overview**

Within this position you will be responsible for the Operational & Commercial requirements of a multi-sector and multi-modal set up.

Your core focus - To lead and manage the UK operations for a busy freight team liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operational execution with all relevant safeguards and commercial mechanisms in place.

Your core responsibilities -- Direct management of operations and admin managers.
- Responsible for management of the operational budget.
- Own P&L across all GB customer accounts.
- Lead customer account management cycle.
- Support Commercial manager with vendor management.
- Coordinate with key internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operational execution.
- Holding regular meetings with team to ensure key priorities are met and service levels delivered.
- Support Commercial manager with vendor management - selection, on-boarding, off-boarding, tactical issues.

**Freight General / Branch Manager Position Requirements**
- Experience in successful leadership of a team, with the ability to inspire and develop high performance
- Supply Chain experience across all modes of transport, preferably sea freight
- Extensive experience of customer facing roles
- Good knowledge of customs processes (Import, Export)
- An unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- A motivational, forward thinking and adaptable style of leadership
- Strong commercial acumen
- High learning agility, adaptability and track record of exceptional results
- Thorough and driven individual
- Strong communicator
- Highly organized with ability to prioritize
- Process minded - logically think through problems and identify solutions
- The ability to identify and evaluate potential risks and where possible develop solutions to mitigate these

**Freight General / Branch Manager Position Remuneration**
- Basic salary circa £65k DOE
- Bonus on top of salary (up to 24%)
- £5k car allowance on top of salary
