My client designs and develops a range of engineering equipment and they are looking for a R&D Project Manager to join their business, on a permanent basis, in the West Oxfordshire area.
**The R&D Project Managerwill ideally have the following attributes**:

- Qualified in Mechanical Engineering (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar) or be QBE from working in a similar technical role
- Previous experience working within project engineering and also R&D
- Be able carry out mechanical design and read engineering drawings
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
- Have an appreciation for electrical engineering too
- Have previous experience working within a similar manufacturing environment
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Be flexible to travel as required

**The R&D Project Manager role will involve**:

- Managing a team working on the companies product range; the design of new products
- Being involved in managing new product developments
- Taking things from concept to launch
- Helping to develop existing products too
- Liaising with customers as required keeping them up to date with project progress
- Producing technical drawings as needed
- Offering technical support
- Sourcing and selecting components that are required
