ABOUT THIS ROLE

Audible's Content Team is responsible for bringing or creating the best content to Audible listeners. It involves partnering with the existing content providers as well as commissioning and delivering of world class audio entertainment. We are a highly creative team who use data and creative relationships to bring true meaning to 'premium content'. Audible is seeking a Content partnerships Specialist to grow and evolve our existing business and develop new business opportunities.

ABOUT YOU

You will oversee day-to-day communications with our external entertainment content partners while evangelizing partner needs across internal teams. You’ll be responsible for improving the overall health of current content partnerships and for increasing the growth and success of potential, future entertainment content partnerships for the benefit of our Audible listeners.

As a Content partnerships Specialist, you will
- Develop, engage, and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with external key entertainment partners.
- Act as day-to-day liaison to key entertainment content partners by building strong relationships that help them achieve their goals and release the best audio possible across Audible.
- Identify and prepare projects for internal support and valuation by presenting data, preparing budgets, P&Ls, and drafting proposed deal terms.
- Work with legal to prepare contracts and contract amendments as required.
- Manage the books submissions tracker, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) schedule and other key internal trackers.
- Review book submissions and offer evaluations of their viability according to quality of content and current strategic priorities.
- Build, manage, and deliver key partnership best practices (in terms of account management and content acquisition) to ensure success across Audible and partners.
- Identify and drive strategic initiatives across content and business teams, at local or global level.

Basic Qualifications
- Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express thoughts sensitively and effectively.
- Proven decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle the ‘hands-on’ day-to-day management of tasks, resolution of problems and issues and experience in implementing action plans to meet objectives while remaining positive and calm under pressure.
- Self-motivated and thrive in fast-paced environment.
- College degree.

Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years' of experience in a business environment with a background in account/partnership management, marketing/campaign management, or business development.
- Proven success working in content partnerships, account management, entertainment partnerships, or brand partnerships.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams under aggressive deadlines.
- A real interest for books and/or the Books industry.
- MBA or MA degree equivalent.
