As a Maintenance Assist it will be your role to support the engineering teams. You will do this by finding the required equipment, tooling and materials for the respective teams. You will be required to drive and operate specialist equipment, such as Aircraft Tugs, Cranes, Docking, High Access equipment, Catering
Truck and Cleaning Vehicles and maintaining good housekeeping standards of the working environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Maintain a safe working environment through adherence to quality, health and safety and housekeeping standards
- Ensures compliance with all appropriate company procedures, policies, legal and regulatory requirements
- Driving and operation of all vehicles appropriate to area, including mechanical handling, lifting equipment and elevated work platforms to the limit of permits held.
- Transport, position and deliver components, materials and equipment to support maintenance
- Perform and assist with maintenance tasks as directed including cleaning and adverse weather duties
- Replenish vehicles, storage facilities and equipment as necessary
- Support the development of a high-performance team and culture, in line with the company hallmarks
- Support the delivery of departmental and directorate objectives

**Shift Patterns**
On average 40 hours a week:
4 on 4 off Days
4 on 4 off - 2 Days/2 Nights
4 on 4 off Nights

**Salary**
£27,241 - Days (Inc Shift Pay)
£29,697 - 2 Days/2 Nights (Inc Shift Pay)
£32,152 - Nights (Inc Shift Pay)

Salary increase after successful post probation sign off
£31,152 - Days (Inc Shift Pay)
£33.608 - 2 Days/2 Nights (Inc Shift Pay)
£36,063 - Nights (Inc Shift Pay)

**Person Specification**
- Self-motivated, capable of working with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Prioritisation, planning and organisation
- Problem solving and acting on own initiative
- Capable of carrying out manual handling tasks
- Working to deadlines and standards
- IT literacy
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to comprehend procedures, technical documentation and demonstrates knowledge of airmanship and safety management systems
- Knowledge of the airport and/or maintenance environment (desirable)

**Requirements**:
Due to the location of work being at the airport you must qualify. Therefore, you will need to be able to provide the following information:

- 5-year checkable history (employment, self-employment, education or benefit claim)
- 5-year UK address history
- Eligibility to work in UK (UK Passport, EU Passport, Non-EU Passport & Visa, Biometric Residence Permit, UK Birth Certificate & (British citizens only)
- Provide proof of National Insurance
- Provide proof of address dated within the last 3mths (utility bill, bank statement, HMRC Letter)
- **Applicants must be over the age of 21.**
