Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week
Reporting to: Production Manager/ Production Supervisor
Base: Great Blakenham, UK
- **Job Purpose **_
Job Purpose:
The Warehouse Operative supports the management of inbound and outbound goods under the instruction and guidance of the Production Manager, adhering to quality and safety procedures always. Additionally, providing assistance in the manufacturing of flavourings and extracts as required.
Effectively contributing to the achievement of the Omega Vision, which is:

- **Responsibilities **_
Core Responsibilities
- Accurately complete picking routines, and stock checks as required.
- Accurately and safely prepare products for dispatch.
- Accurately prepare all necessary all paperwork for dispatch.
- Support the management of inbound and outbound goods.
- Process all incoming stock, ensuring first in / first out stock rotation is adhered to.
- Confirm loads as complete and reporting any discrepancies.
- Consistently maintaining a secure workplace while adhering to health and safety rules, and promptly reporting all workplace accidents, incidents, near misses, and hazards.
- Use of the Forklift Truck and other mechanical lifting equipment as required.
- Ensuring the site, factory and its equipment is clean, tidy, and conforming to quality standards always.
- Continually working to reduce the Non-Conformances from the Factory and Warehouse and always maintaining warehouse housekeeping.
- Ensuring a safe working environment continuously and conforming to health and safety regulations (must be willing to undertake training to meet both food safety & health and safety legislation/requirements).
- Adhere to company policies.
- Propose new ideas for improvement and suggest solutions to challenges.
- Lifting and manual handling.
- Performing any other duties necessary when required by the Production Manager / Factory Supervisor.
- Producing safe products to specification.
- Manufacture flavourings and ingredients according to build instructions.

Goals that will measure our Success:
- Accuracy in despatch / Vs delivery note.
- Completing tasks on time and in full.
- Reduction of NCRs and internal audit scores.
- Management of stock in correct manor.
- Correct batching and input of goods into the ERP System.
- Following Procedures.
- Working in line with both Sales and Logistics.
- Stock-Take management.
- Accuracy of manufacturing builds.

**Qualifications**:
- GCSE’s (or equivalent) including Maths, English, and Science.
- Forklift Truck licence (desirable)
- Hazardous Goods trained (Road, Air & Sea) (Desirable)
Experience
- Food warehouse experience
- Food Production experience (desirable)
Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Able to maintain a flexible approach to business needs.
- Understanding of ERP/IT systems (desirable)
- Understanding of Food Safety and GMP.
- Able to understand QC and NPD functions.
- Forklift Truck trained (essential)
- Detail-oriented
- Innovates to come up with new ideas

- Fluent in English language written and verbal
