**Occupational Therapist**

An Occupational Therapist (OT) is needed for a Falls Prevention Service in the Wirral.They are part of a specialist team including nurses and a physiotherapist.

You should be from a Health background and able to undertake falls risk assessments, working within NICE guidelines, as well as home hazard assessmentsSupport and coaching will be given to understand the falls risk assessment.Experience within orthopaedicsor older people is preferred.

This niche organisation takes referrals from hospitals, GPs and local authorities.The Occupational Therapist (OT) and Health team work proactively through risk assessments and home visits to prevent falls and keep people safe.

Your day to day role as an Occupational Therapist is to:

- Undertake assessments in the Home
- Compiling reports
- Working within an interdisciplinary team
- Provide support and advice on Falls Prevention
- Service hours Mon - Fri 8.30 - 4.30

You will have
- 2 years experience as an OT
- HCPC registration
- Car owner and driver

This could be a full or part time locum position.
