A centrally located organisation is looking to recruit an experienced Customer Service Assistant to join its small but well established and friendly team. Established over 70 years, this company has a reputation for supplying quality products with good oldfashioned customer service.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this is a progressive role that will suit someone with strong customer service experience, ideally from a distribution or manufacturing background**.**
**Essential Experience**
- Previous office based Customer Services experience, ideally from a distribution or manufacturing background
- Proficient user of MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience of ERP software
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Professional telephone manner
- Ability to deal confidently with difficult situations
- Enthusiastic, positive and self-Motivated
**Key Responsibilities**
- Handling customer telephone enquiries and sales order processing
- Resolving customer issues and escalating to the Branch Manager where necessary
- Providing product and technical information and general customer advice
- Liaising with internal department regarding Sales order processing and deliveries
- Dealing with returns, invoice queries and future requirements
- Scheduling freight forwarders
- Supporting full quarterly stock takes
- Producing reports
