An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Department of Chemistry for an organised and enthusiastic person for the role of PA to the Head of Department and Teaching Support Administrator. You will work under the direction of the Administrative Team Leader to deliver a wide range of support activities across the department.
Previous relevant experience of working as a PA in a busy office environment will be essential, along with good communication skills and highly developed IT skills. You will also need some previous experience of dealing with exam processes to support the Director of Learning and Teaching.
Applicants should be able to prioritise their own workload, be accurate when working to deadlines with a keen eye for detail, which is essential particularly for the exam process, and maintain a professional manner when dealing with sensitive and confidential issues. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should also have experience of organising meetings and minute taking.
