**Payroll Team Leader - up to £38k + £3k bonus - Working from home (3 days pw)/Brentwood office (2 days pw).**
A key feature of the role will be to supervise and effectively manage their team to ensure our clients receive a quality service in all respects. This is a pivotal role and we would expect the post holder to make a positive contribution towards the overallfuture development and success of the team/office.
**Responsibilities**
- Ensure Payroll deadlines and service requirements are met for the team’s portfolio of clients
- Ensuring the team’s compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Accountability for your team’s output to clients
- Monitoring team’s KPIs and profitability
- Keeping your knowledge of statutory and legislative regulations, including workplace pensions, up to date
- Promote client care and cascade this to the wider team
- Provide guidance and support to all team members and other teams/offices as required
- Internal BACS procedures and client payment requirements
- Review and approval of all new AE Pension set-ups
- Financial systems to review and monitor client recoveries
- Review team performance and setting clear objectives, which are to be monitored on a monthly basis
- Confident displaying leadership and professionalism
- Approachable manner and mindfulness of duty of care for direct reports
- Strong knowledge of statutory and legislative regulations, including workplace pensions
- Strong understanding of payroll deadlines and requirements
- A keen eye for detail and enjoy working within a team
- Clear and concise communication at all levels - both internal and external
- Be adaptable in a varied role
- An ability to work independently and as part of the wider team

- Supporting a team approach to payroll service delivery

**Essential**
- Resilience under pressure
- Meeting tight deadlines, whilst maintaining high quality outputs
- Has awareness of GDPR issues and client confidentiality
- Experience working in Payroll
**Desirable**
- Previous experience of staff supervision
- Dealing with a high volume of clients
- GCSE Maths & English (Grade C & above) or equivalent
