**Summary**:
Our client, an ever-expanding, successful freight forwarder, are now looking to add multiple individuals to their existing operations team in West Thurrock

The Air Freight Forwarder is responsible for the planning, booking, and monitoring of air freight shipments. This includes working with customers to understand their needs, developing and negotiating rates with airlines, and ensuring that shipments are delivered on time and within budget. The Air Freight Forwarder must also be familiar with all relevant regulations and documentation, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and airlines
- Negotiate rates and book air freight shipments
- Prepare and submit documentation for air freight shipments
- Track the movement of air freight shipments
- Communicate with customers about the status of their shipments
- Resolve any problems or issues that arise with air freight shipments
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and trends

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in air freight forwarding
- Strong knowledge of air freight regulations and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong organizational and time management skills
