**The Vacancy**
**Job Purpose**:
To manage a team of engineers within a specific region maintaining and repairing all HVAC plant and equipment in Asda stores to pre-determined standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid down Company Health and Safety policy.

Key Accountabilities*
- To carry out the duties and responsibilities of the HVAC Engineer if required - as prescribed in the HVAC Engineers job description
- To provide cover for HVAC Engineers at stores if required
- To complete the PPM schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
- To ensure under performance on KPI’s is understood and appropriate action plans are in place
- To respond promptly and positively to service call/alarm requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary and update in respect to call and job status.
- To prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
- To identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Divisional teams of findings.
- Where plant and equipment is non-repairable, to make recommendations to the Divisional Manager regarding suitable replacement & assist in the raising of an ACR.
- To advise the GSM and Divisional Manager of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store.
- To carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the needs of the business.
- To carry out reviews on quality and Health & safety and take action on non-compliances
- To assist Engineers in other areas when requested to do so to meet business needs.
- To ensure all tools and equipment necessary to complete maintenance and repairs are available and serviceable at all times.
- To work with company and Asda colleagues to ensure laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times
- To ensure all systems are working to optimum efficiency
- To audit FM documentation and take action on any non-compliances
- To monitor the Facilities Log Book and take action to ensure correct completion of outstanding HVAC items.
- To work to comply with company KPIs
- To carry out work on the most cost efficient manner
- To maintain and Update the Asset database.
- To advise and co-ordinate Sub-Contractor’s on site.
- To be the primary contact for any operational issues and point of escalation for the teams should any issues arise
- To complete absence management paperwork
- To complete appraisals for HVAC teams with given area
- To deliver training to the HVAC teams within your given area
- Carry out Gas Testing & Purging with HVAC engineers & assist in there training to do this work.
- To carry out Gas post work audits on engineers.
- Support Asda’s insurers with PSSR compliance.
- Carry out new space audits to include snagging, list new assets, & produce a site visit report.
- Ensure that an HVAC engineer or themselves attend site with BMS engineer when store BMS PPM is done & raise jobs for any issue which is a CFM responsibility
- All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.
- To carry out all tasks assigned within the allotted time period to the satisfaction of the company and client.
- To be proficient in the use of written and verbal communication, report writing and recording procedures.
- To attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical and business developments.
- Ensure all mandatory Evolve on-line training modules are completed.
- To comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the company’s Health and Safety Policy at all times.
- To work with company and ASDA colleagues to ensure that laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times.
- To comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the City Management Team.
**People Responsibility**
- This role is responsible for managing regional HVAC teams
- To represent the company in a professional manner always and develop a good working with the engineers, Supervisors, National Gas Compliance Manager and Head of Department.

- GCSE standard
- Degree Level
Specific Knowledge
- PC literate
- Experience within HVAC industry
- Retail experience
- Previous Supervisory experience
