**Summary**:

We are responsible for ensuring universities and colleges are doing all they can to support learners from all backgrounds, especially the most disadvantaged, to access and succeed in higher education, and for making sure that the academic experience of students improves their knowledge and skills, allowing graduates to succeed in their chosen careers.

We need a dynamic and proactive team leader, who has a significant understanding of and engagement with the higher education sector, to lead on overseeing the OfS’s role in current and future systems of vocational training and other employment-orientated higher education.

**Job description**:

- Leading on policy on how the OfS’s regulation can enable graduates to contribute to local and national prosperity; OfS’s engagement with Further Education Colleges on “HE in FE”; and the entrance of mature students into higher education.
- Policy and regulation of the government’s policy on the Lifelong Loan Entitlement (LLE) and associated regulation.
- Being jointly responsible for a Core Regulation Team (CRT), responsible for all regulatory interactions with a specific group of providers, which includes regular monitoring and may include management of specific events related to those specified providers.

- strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience and interest in communicating research, policy and regulatory action to a variety of non-expert audience
