With a growing demand, they are looking to grow their design team by bringing in an experienced mechanical design engineer with expertise in 2D and 3D design of equipment layouts.

Responsibilities of a Lead Design Engineer:

- Producing 2D and 3D designs of manufacturing cell layouts.
- Identifying optimum equipment selections.
- Working with engineering teams, customers, and design teams to achieve customer requirements.
- Visiting manufacturing and production sites to conduct initial surveys.
- Ensure that all drawings meet technical, compliance, and customer requirements.
- Engineering design technical authority for customer projects.

Requirements to be successful as a Lead Design Engineer:

- Expert in use of 2D and 3D AutoCAD packages.
- Engineering Qualifications such as HNC, HND or Degree level.
- Previous roles in design within manufacturing, production or building services.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Good communicator, able to work as part of a team to meet goals.
- Understanding of pumps, pipework, conveyor systems, and pressure systems is an advantage.

This role will be a hybrid role, working from home as well as their office based in Warwick. There will also be a requirement to travel to customer sites for surveys and meetings.
