Field Sales Manager

We are looking for a Field Sales Manager to join our team in the South East. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales person with access experience to lead a team of Area Sales Managers.
As the Field Sales Manager you will have the ability to drive, motivate, coach, and develop the team to maximise opportunities within the region, whilst also ensuring best practice. We are looking for someone who has knowledge of the powered access industrycoupled with a proven track record of B2B sales, people management experience and excellent organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Introduce, train and coach the sales process for all ASM’s. In particular, ensure ASM’s follow the process for Journey Planning, Objective Setting, Overcoming Objections and Closing.
- Ensure all ASM’s achieve their targeted call rates backed up by full admin compliance including ABI pipeline, Rep Portal or any CRM system to standardisation guidelines.
- Train, coach and Mentor all sales functions as required.
- Carry out regular appraisal reviews in line with company guidelines.
- Carry out a targeted accompaniment days with ASM team per month, focussed on new business/prospecting activity in line with sales process guidelines, offering clear feedback and developmental advice via a structured feedback document.
- Work with the ASM team to ensure all follow up actions and admin are completed against timed targets to drive new business excellence.
- Complete regular assessments of ASM skills and techniques giving formal feedback of assessed performance, to build remedial actions plans as required.
- Monitor performance and feedback to the Head of Sales as appropriate in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure strategy created for targeting and achievement of Long Term Hire targets in conjunction with the ASM team.
- Support compliance against pricing and deal structuring with responsibility for driving price improvement initiatives across the region and focussed measurement.
- Achieve New Business revenue and stockist targets as set for the region.
- Complete monthly reporting and updates at regional team meetings as required.
- Adhere to Quality Management Procedures regarding sales enquiries.
- Liaise with ISM team/CSA to maximise web and customer enquiry conversion.
- Drive for Zero outstanding CPA/FRA’s each month.
Key Performance Indicators
- New Business revenue growth against agreed targets
- Increase existing customer base within agreed %age
- Redevelop dormant accounts to agreed %age
- Turnaround Down-trader accounts to agreed %age
- Achieve new account revenue to agreed %age
Person Specification:
- Knowledge of Powered Access Rental industry/Health and Safety awareness is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of selling in a B2B environment.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- Proven track record of the ability to analyse data and interpret complex information.
- Computer literate in Excel, Word & Power point
- Strong experience of managing a team of people in a sale environment.
- Strong planning/prioritisation skills and ability to manage own workload.
- Self motivated with the ability to motivate others.
- Evidence of educational achievement and recent relevant training
- Extensive travel and overnight stay is required for this role
