**About the Traffic Administrator role**:
As our **Traffic Administrator**, primarily your daily responsibilities will be **t**o track and distribute relevant information to the required departments. To prepare accurate progress reports for upper management. To contribute as part of a team with the traffic and operations departments to ensure the experience for the customer is to a high standard and to ensure safe working practices are followed.
**Responsibilities as our Traffic Administrator will include**:
- You will be required to conduct day to day Traffic administration duties.
- To contribute towards any adhoc administrative duties for the operations and warehouse departments when required.
- Complete daily reports within the time scales to meet service level agreements
- Liaising with drivers to check delivery times and complete progress checks
- You will be require to Data entry to a high level of accuracy
- Communicate with drivers daily over any delivery or logístical issue
- Dealing with incoming drivers, taking details of the vehicle; complete onsite log
- Effectively communicate with management and the wider team
- Track customer orders
- Maintain a good working environment in a safe and tidy manner
- Fulfil company policy on security and quality.
- Ensure relevant administrative procedures are followed as instructed by your manager.
- To work within the companies operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.
- Contribute towards good team work and high standards
- Always follow safety rules, avoid improvisation and comply with the health and
- safety policy
- Only operate equipment that you are qualified/trained to undertake
- Always store materials and equipment in a safe manner
- Never block emergency escape routes
- Always practice safe working procedures, refrain from horseplay and report all
- hazards and defective equipment
- Always wear suitable clothing and personal protective equipment if you enter the warehouse/yard areas.
- Inform the First Aider or Appointed Person of all accidents that may occur.
- To assist with housekeeping duties when required.
- Ensure desk space is clear and tidy. That all important Documents are in locked draws.
- Additional tasks and responsibilities will be required within reason to support the needs and requirements of the business._
**What we are looking for in our Traffic Administrator**:
- Working within a Transport/logistics and distribution environment is a must
- Transport/Logistic administration experience is a must
- Experience working with drivers and those where English may not be there first language.
