**The Role
Are you an experienced Optical Assistant? Do you have excellent customer service skills, coupled with strong selling skills, linked to KPIs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

Our Boots Opticians store in Loughton, Essex is looking to appoint an experienced Optical Assistant.

**Key Responsibilities**

The key responsibilities of an Optical Assistant include, but are not limited to:

- Assisting the optometrist, pre-testing and CL teaches, etc.
- Can review prescriptions and recommend the best solution, under an optician’s guidance where necessary.
- Is a confident dispenser at all levels, taking all measurement proficiently and can verify more junior staffs’ dispenses, where necessary.
- Can deliver and is comfortable providing excellent customer service, listening to and understanding patients’ needs resulting in a high level of sales.
- Understand our products, ethos and ensure they do right by our patients every day.
- Attention to detail is paramount and the ability to problem solve is crucial
- Can work on your own initiative but crucially can perform as a team player.
- Assist with practice admin.

- If you possess any optical diplomas or course experience this would be an advantage.
