We are working with a **Counter Terrorism client** who are looking for a **Senior Support Engineer. (Full job description is available)**

Our client is based in **West Brompton**though **Travel** around multiple locations throughout the UK is required as part of this role.
- You must hold active **DV Clearance**to go forward with this position.
- You must hold a **Full UK Driving licence**:

- £450.00 per day Umbrella (Inside IR35)
- Contract initially for 6 months with the potential of being extended.

You will be responsible for supporting the infrastructure across 200+ locations, managing 4 data centres and up to 10,000 users as the National Service portfolio grows.

This role will report to the National Infrastructure Team Leader to provide Network and Infrastructure technical support expertise for the Customer Services Centre (CSC), the individual will support all network and Infrastructure activities pertaining tothe National CSC, including operational business as usual and CTP project tasks as required relating to the growth of the National CSC and the services supported in line with the National CT priorities.

This role will be part of a team of engineers covering 7-7-7 on site and 247365 on call for critical support.

This role requires a flexible working approach and will be part of a team who will provide onsite 7-7-7 support; therefore this role will be required to work as part of a shift system.

The role holder will be required to travel to sites around the UK as appropriate and required to hold a valid UK driving licence.

**Key Tasks**:

- Ensure SLAs for technical incidents and service requests relating to services in the CSC Service portfolio are not breached
- Provide technical support for National infrastructure relating to BAU and Projects to ensure objectives are being met in line with National CT priorities
- Provide resilience and failover testing to ensure all CSC managed Infrastructure is tested and documented on a regular basis to ensure failover functions as designed and is predicable
- Provide documentation to ensure all CSC managed Infrastructure is documented and regular audits completed, this is required to provide effective support
- Proactively monitor Network tools to ensure the Incident, Service Request and Problem management SLAs are being met
- Proactively monitor Network tools to ensure availability and capacity is acceptable and raise any related concerns to management as appropriate

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills for the role holder to communicate effectively and efficiently with the customer and 3rd parties on a daily basis
- On a weekly basis represent Technical Changes at the weekly CAB
- Weekly face-to-face communication with line management to provide incident and project updates
- Daily face-to-face and telephone communication regarding incident escalations to line management and 3rd parties

**This role will require STRAP clearance and start dates wouldn’t be straight away due to Police vetting requirements.
