We are currently looking for a Engineering Contractor Co-ordinator to join a leading Pharmaceutical business based in the Hertfordshire area.
As the Engineering Contractor Co-ordinator you will support the Engineering Department through managing all aspects of contractor planning, site visits of contractors and all related Health & Safety matters relating to contractors. The position is responsiblefor planning, organising, and managing contractor preventative maintenance, calibrations, and reactive work activities. The position is also responsible for providing a safe operating environment and complying with current Health and Safety regulations.
**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Your duties as the Engineering Contractor Co-ordinator will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Responsible for managing contractor visits and co-ordinate with the work management team to
ensure availability of equipment, areas, parts, and tools are organised and planned. Mange all contractor compliance with Health and Safety regulations which include the running of inductions, maintenance of training records and RAMS.
2. Review the contractors proposed method of working during planning process and prior to
issuing work permits to ensure contractors have accurate and compliant systems and methods
of work. Ensure contractors always work in a safe and compliant manner while on site.
3. Ensure contractors understand requirements of working within a GMP facility and work to good
engineering and manufacturing practices. Ensure the quality of works undertaken by contractors is to the right standard and right first
time through review of works.
4. Review Health and Safety policies to ensure safe systems of work are in place. Continuously review latest Health and Safety legislation and practices to ensure job knowledge and understanding is kept current. Support all internal and external Health andSafety training requirements.
**ROLE REQUIREMENTS**:
1. Relevant qualifications within a Health and Safety discipline, such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
2. Strong knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations within an Engineering environment (LOLER, PSSR,
PUWER etc.).
3. Knowledge of permits to work, as well as contractor management is essential.
