You are tasked to shape, build and lead a team of Data Architects, Data Engineers and Data Scientists in the design, build and implementation of enterprise-level data solutions.
They are looking for someone with the following profile;
- Has led a data engineering or data-orientated software engineering function
- Substantial experience in a customer-centric industry/sector, e.g. retail, telco or travel/leisure. Familiar with the data structures and information models that are common in these industries
- Demonstrable experience in delivering success within a large matrix organisation, including a capacity to influence and achieve org-wide buy-in
- Capable of operating at significant velocity, with deliverables achieved in an agile manner over a period of days/weeks. Ideally at least some experience in a start-up or entrepreneurial environment
- Strong problem structuring capabilities and technical skills.?Able to wrestle with complicated, ambiguous data-sets, to identify their underlying structure and to transform them into valuable data-assets
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to communicate complex issues and ideas to non-technical audiences
- Highly resilient, able to execute at significant pace within a dynamic and challenging environment
- Rigorous, with high standards for quality and impact

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to come in to this business, as it goes through high-level strategic change and really make this role your own - help set the strategy, build your own team, dictate what solutions are developed etc.
The salary is £90-100,000 plus an excellent benefits package including £6,000 car allowance, 28 days holiday, 10% pension, up to 10% bonus, private medical cover, death in service (4x salary), training and development, season ticket loan (train), discountsand flexible working options.
