Our materials planning team expedite the planning and supply for effective assembly and production of innovative products globally from our site in Aberdeen. **Play a key-role in our innovative materials planning group**:
As a Materials Planner you will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials both from suppliers and internal departments according to production schedules. You will plan and schedule material/production needs, communicate the consequences of changes in products and processes for internal and external teams in the manufacturing organization. Collaborating closely with the sales and commercial team, region personnel, production and supply chain to translate the demand across multiple time horizons.

As a Material Planner, you will also be responsible for:

- Management of the master planning and material processes, systems. Updating production schedules and implementing inventory stocking strategies
- Ensuring operational alignment with production plan and KPIs to enable inventory and process improvements.
- Collaborating with cross functional teams to exchange data and information looking at incoming demand, identifying misalignments and opportunities to utilise existing inventory
- Working with the sales and operations team to convert the demand plans into physical orders.
- Planning and scheduling order timelines to be consistent with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have some exposure to manufacturing, production, materials planning or inventory environments - this is beneficial but not essential
- Have some knowledge of SAP
- Have ability to work cross functionally with a variety of stakeholders and suppliers
- Demonstrate quick and strategic thinking
- Be able to demonstrate good oral and written communication skills in English
- Have a can-do attitude and a growth mindset
- Show tenacity and aptitude to effectively chase and influence timescales and schedules to meet business objectives
