We’re looking for an Experienced Weapons Artist to join our award-winning team in Middlesbrough (UK), home to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline and countryside.

As a Weapons Artist at Double Eleven, it will be crucial to have an excellent understanding of creating weapons that are mechanically sound, highly detailed and creatively designed in their construction, so they look amazing and can be animated and modded in a live game scenario.

We can support UK relocation and have a dedicated People team on standby to assist you and your family with every step to us.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Sculpt high-quality detailed weapons from concept through to game ready assets, using software such as Zbrush, Maya/Max, Substance, Photoshop
- Create all advanced nuanced textures and materials using current PBR workflows
- Manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of the weapons art pipeline to ensure all assets created are bug free and game ready
- Create complex jointed animated weapons working with animators and riggers to the required brief
- Able to create various styles and genres of weapons
- Provide direction and constructive feedback to develop a consistent, quality visual style
- Ensure all assets are optimise for runtime performance without sacrificing artistic integrity
- Work directly with art Leads to build, detail, iterate and execute final game assets
- Owning the development of all required assets and delivering within a scheduled project
- Works directly with Production to schedule, prioritise work and maintain a clear and consistent delivery of required assets
- Receives and provides critique in a professional manner
- Upholds a sense of professional ownership, keeps a positive attitude and ensures tasks are completed to quality

**What we’re looking for**
- Has proven game cycle experience as a Mid/Senior Weapons Artist
- Has shipped at least one title
- An extensive portfolio showing examples of creating real-time weapons, in differing styles, using Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop (or equivalent 3D/2D programs)
- Can demonstrate a strong understanding of hard surface modelling techniques and processes, colour theory, form and silhouette
- Can demonstrate proficiency in current modelling techniques and PBR workflows
- Proven Unreal Engine knowledge in actual game development
- Can demonstrate an ability to work with detailed concept art or reference art materials
- Finds creative solutions for technically challenging tasks
- Excellent communicator who can take feedback and direction
- Collaborative, self-motivated, and effective time-management skills
- An understanding of rigging, animation and performance needs
- Experience working in an Agile workflow
- Passion for playing and making games
