We are looking for a Warehouse Operative for our end client who has two locations, Hedon Road, Hull & Brigg, North Lincolnshire, the role will be spilt 50/50 at both locations so travel and transport will be required. The Warehouse Operative will play a crucial role in the efficient operations of the Warehouse’s/ Stores ensuring the accurate handling, storage, and dispatch of goods.
**Main Responsibilities include**:
- Receive, inspect and record incoming shipments ensuring the integrity remains intact and holds the correct documentation.
- Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse, utilizing established systems.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for timely dispatch to customers both internally/externally including movement between our companies’ approved suppliers.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members at all levels to optimize warehouse processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Perform regular stock checks/ cycle counts and report any discrepancies to the Warehouse & Logistics Team / Procurement Team.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety and hygiene standards using lean methodology, 5’s standards and a clean as you go policy.
- Assist in the implementation of security measures to safeguard warehouse and sites assets.
- Conduct regular quality checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure they meet established standards.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas to enhance warehouse operations.
- Respond promptly to any urgent requests or issues related to warehouse activities at both sites.
- Operate within budgetary constraints and contribute to cost saving initiatives when possible.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: From £27,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
