We have a great full-time **Database Administrator**role available, with a superb local established business in PR26

**Database Administratorsalary: £40k - £60k (Depending on experience)

Database Administrator**hours: 37 hour working week.Monday to Thursday 8 am - 4:20 pm Friday 8 am - 3:15 pm (Flexibility considered)

Key Responsibilities as a**Database Administrator**:
Administer and manage both development and production databases.
- Ensure the backup and functional recovery of Oracle based systems
- Carry out database performance monitoring and tuning.
- Install, patch and test software.
- Provide a database consultancy service to the Leyland and Eindhoven IT functions
- Undertake architecture design, roadmap planning and implementation activities.
- Provide out-of-hours support on a rota basis.

Our ideal **Database Administrator**will
- Be degree educated
- Practical experience of development, production & business critical environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good Unix/Linux and Shell scripting skills (AIX preferable).
- MS SQL Server knowledge desirable (training provided if necessary).
- Significant DBA experience with Oracle based systems is essential.
- An ability to work to fixed and tight deadlines is essential, as are good team working and interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate at all levels.
- Flexible, self-motivated, able to manage own workload and priorities
