Job Summary:
We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations and ensure efficient and effective handling of materials.
The Warehouse Supervisor is based at our Stoke-on-Trent site. The role reports to the UK Logistics Manager and is part of a relatively small team.
Currently there are two Warehouse ‘loading’ shifts. These are currently 5am-1pm and 1pm-9pm, however the shift patterns remain flexible to meet demand. The warehouse team also works alongside production hours in the transportation of stock from production into the warehouse working with appropriate Standard Operating Procedures. These are currently ‘Mornings 6am -2pm’ and ‘Lates’ 2pm-10pm’ which rotate weekly. Our Night shift is 10pm - 6am. All of these shifts remain flexible to business needs and changes can be made with appropriate notice.
The Warehouse Supervisor takes responsibility for all aspects of the warehouse activities including resourcing as appropriate.
The Warehouse Supervisor takes responsibility for approximately up to six people on each shift covering both production and loading. Shift patterns will always vary according to business need. Critical aspect of the role is to ensure consistent delivery of all KPI’s across all shifts. Also very important is the adoption of a ‘Continuous Improvement’ culture in order to ensure opportunities for improvement are captured and implemented in a consistent way.
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for liaising and communication across many departments on a day to day basis. The role is very much ‘the centre of the Logistics arena’ and will liaise as necessary with, Sales, Planning, Supply Chain, HSE, Quality, Transport (internal Administration and external) and Production.
The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure the availability of skills and resources to deliver day to day plans in line with business strategy and KPI’s.
