Overview of the role
Are you an organised individual who enjoys varied work and likes a challenge? As our Professional Scheduling Coordinator, you will manage Pharmacist cover for our branches in specified regions, whilst ensuring costs are managed and budgets achieved.

Main Responsibilities
- Accurately manage Pharmacist cover for branches in specified regions using the planning and payment system, working within budget, and within a 12 week forward planning timescale
- Plan regions to ensure maximum efficient utilisation of employed pharmacists, reducing locum requirement and maximising quality for our branches and customers.
- Capacity planned effectively using systems available
- Ensure all Pharmacists are registered with the professional regulator without any fitness to practice concerns.
- Minimise loss of trading for branches arising from emergencies by sourcing cover, negotiating a suitable rate and ensuring accurate recording on the incident report and booking system.
- Ensure any incorrect processing of payments are resolved using the appropriate Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Accurately record holidays, time in lieu and sickness for all employee Pharmacists as per the appropriate SOP and inputting on HR Evolution.
- Process weekly timesheets with RDM delegation within the region using HR Evolution.
- Build working relationships with external stakeholders to source locums whilst ensuring business needs and budgets are met and kept in line with service level agreements
- Negotiate locum pharmacist rates and travel expenses within agreed limits for region and being mindful of market rates.
- Ensure excellent standards of communication and customer service are delivered to all stakeholders
- Lateral thinking to provide creative solutions to operational challenges and ensure that branches continue to trade.
- To provide support to other members of the team when required
- To hold effective RDM review meetings to support business challenges with suggestions for recruitment of relief pharmacists and changes to working patterns to maximise utilisation of employee pharmacists and branch coverage.
